Dear BMCR Family and Friends,
It is with sadness that we share news of the Saturday, November 20, 2021 death of Mr. Omari Drovon Alexander, 19-year old son of the Rev. Russell Alexander and his wife, Shonja. In addition to his parents, Omari is survived by his siblings: Drorester Alexander II (wife Lukia), NaTashia Alexander, Edward Alexander, Jada RaShaune Alexander; nieces and nephews: Amara and Andrew; and his grandmothers: Jannie Melton and Kaye Roseboro. A memorial service was held at Lenoir-Rhyne University on Monday, November 22 at 10:00am. A service will be announced once scheduled by the family, during which Omari will be laid to rest. Please join us in prayer for Rev. and Mrs. Russell Alexander and family.
