Greetings BMCR Family and Friends,
I invite you to relax and join me, Rev. Charlie Rivens, Coordinator, Western NC Caucus BMCR, for this exciting opportunity to listen to the podcast "BMCR Now What?" The podcast (link below), hosted by Rev. Dr. Stephanie Moore Hand, Metro District Vitality Strategist, features Rev. Antoine “Tony” Love, National BMCR Chairperson; Ms. Deborah Bass, National BMCR Vice-Chairperson and myself.
The conversation centers and engages the questions, "Why was BMCR important (history) for the merger with the Evangelical United Brethren Church, the Methodist Church and the Central Jurisdiction Black Methodists? How are we doing now (present), and What's Next for BMCR (future) and the United Methodist Church, as we serve One God, serve the mission of the Kingdom, and live fully into being the church God called into existence?
I extend sincere appreciation to our BMCR Membership Team, the host, and participants. This podcast kicks off our Western NC BMCR Membership Drive (January through June 2021) and is one of two audio and ZOOM events. You will find attached the Membership Drive calendar of activities, including the contact information for our Membership Team, Hank Dozier and Polly Pearson. Stay tuned to "Get To Know BMCR" via ZOOM on Saturday,February 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Additional details are forthcoming.
